Chili - Easy

4-6 c beans (either slow cooked or canned works great!)
1 lb ground beef
1 8 oz can tomato sauce
1 15 oz can petite diced tomatoes
2 Tbls chili powder or taco seasoning
1 tsp salt


Beans— if you want to use from scratch:  Soak beans in a pot of water overnight.
In the morning, rinse beans and then cook (boil & simmer) for about 30-45 min. until tender.  (Cook 1 c beans=4 c. water and 1 tsp salt).   You can also just put beans and water and salt in crock-pot for the day and cook slow. OR
I use all types of canned beans: pinto/kidney/black/chilil,etc.

Chili— Brown ground beef.   Drain.   Add remaining ingredients and cook for approx. 30 min.     Serve with sour cream and cheese.
