Boil for 30 minutes:
1 package (26 oz) hash browns (southern style--small squares)
1 1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cans chicken broth
2 cups water
After potatoes are soft, stir in following ingredients and heat through.
2 cups milk
1 can cheddar cheese soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of celery soup
3/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp. thyme leaves
I usually cut up some ham to add to soup.
NOTE: I omit the cream of celery soup. You'll never miss it!
