2 cups lukewarm water
1 pkg yeast
1 TBSP sugar
2 tsp salt
5 3/4 cups flour
Dissolve yeast in water. Mix sugar, salt and flour together. Add slowly to yeast mixture and work in well. Dough will be sticky. Place in greased bowl and let rise 1 hour. Punch down and shape into 6 round rolls for bread bowls or 2 long loaves. Cut slits in top of loaves or an "X" on top of rolls. Place on greased cookie sheet and let rise 1 hour. Bake at 425 degrees for 25-35 mins. Brush with melted butter. Optional: lightly sprinkle with garlic salt.
