Crockpot Potatoes

I have a new name for these---- LATE CHURCH POTATOES!   These are perfect if you have late church on Sundays.   They are SOOOOOOO yummy and EASY!  This recipe is for a small pot-- like 4-6 people.   I usually double because we have large family Sunday dinners---- the beauty is-- you can't hurt them-- just throw it together!

4-6 medium size potatoes, washed  (I like the red ones because they don't seem to turn brown so fast)
1/2 lb bacon- cooked and chopped  (I use the pre-cooked bacon-- so I only have to chop it up)
2 1/2 c shredded cheddar cheese
1 package dry ranch seasoning mix
2 T butter, melted

(And of course--- you can add onions-- BUT NO ONIONS here!)

Spray the inside of your crock pot.   Slice potatoes into thick slices and place a layer on bottom of crock pot.    Sprinkle with half of the ranch mix, bacon, cheese.  Add another layer of potatoes and top with remaining ingredients.  Drizzle butter over the top.    Cook on low 4-6 hours.  (When I double---- it takes a little longer-- so either turn it up to high or cook longer).

I mean, really, potatoes, bacon, ranch, and cheese---------how can you go wrong!!   Plus, they cook while you are at church!
