Fast-- Easy-- Delicious!!
·
2 tube refrigerated Crescent
Rolls
·
2 apples
·
2 cup warm caramel sauce/
caramel topping
·
1 cup sugar
·
4 tablespoons cinnamon
·
4 tablespoons melted butter
- Preheat
the oven to 375 degrees and lightly grease a baking sheet with non-stick cooking
spray.
- Wash,
peel and slice the apple into about 8 slices.
- Divide
the crescent rolls into 8 triangles, and lay them out.
- In
a small bowl, combine the cinnamon and sugar. Dip each apple slice in
caramel and then roll it in cinnamon-sugar.
- Place
the caramel apple slice on the wide end of a crescent roll triangle and
roll up. Place on a lightly greased baking sheet. Continue with remaining
crescents.
- Brush
with melted butter and bake for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool slightly before serving either warm or cool.
PS-- I re-did this recipe by chopping up the apples, adding about 1/2 c caramel sauce and the cinnamon-sugar(only use 1/2 c sugar and 1 Tbl cinnamon) mixture to apples and stirring together. Then, placing mixture in roll and rolling up. I liked the the chopped apples better. Wastes less ingredients by adding directly, rather than dipping.
GREAT WARM WITH VANILLA ICE-CREAM!!
