Caramel Popcorn

3 quarts popped popcorn
1/4 c corn syrup
1 c brown sugar
1/2 c margarine
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda


Place popped popcorn in brown grocery bag.   In a microwave safe bowl, microwave the corn syrup, brown sugar, margarine and salt for 3 min.   Stir and mircro for 2 more minutes.   Add baking soda.   Pour half of mixture over popcorn.  Shake.   Add remaining mixture and shake well.   Microwave the whole bag for 1 1/2 min.   Shake well and place on cookie sheet to cool.
