Sourdough Bread

1 c starter
1 1/2 c warm water
1/2 c oil
1 Tbls salt
1/4 c sugar
6 c flour

Mix half of the flour and all other ingredients in a large bowl with a mixer on low.   Add remainder of flour, 1 c. at a time and mix well by hand until you have a soft dough.    Knead a little.   Place in a greased bowl and cover with plastic wrap that has been sprayed with Pam, then cover with a towel.   Let rise 6-12 hrs.   Punch down, and knead 10-15 times on a floured surface.    Form into 2 large or 3 med. loaves and put into greased bread pans.   Cover as above and let rise 6-12 hrs.   Bake at 350 deg. For 30 min. or until golden brown.   This freezes well.
