3 Tbls yeast
2 C oatmeal
4 C boiling water
1 C molasses
1/2 C brown sugar
1/4 C shortening
1 1/2 Tbls salt
12 C flour
Pour boiling water over oatmeal and let set until cool. Add remaining ingredients, except flour. Mix well. Start by adding 8 c flour. Gradually add more flour as needed and knead about 10 min. Let rise until double in bulk. Shape into four loaves. Place bread in pans and let rise. Bake at 350 deg. For 40-55 min.
