We LOVE all things Disneyland. Especially the food! We enjoyed Mint Juleps in New Orleans Square and wanted to make them at home!
Ingredients
- 6 cups water
- 2 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup creme' de menthe syrup *
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 12 oz can frozen lemonade concentrate
- 1 liter club soda
- Ice
- cherries, mint and lemon slices to garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot dissolve sugar in water on medium high heat.
- Simmer and stir until sugar is dissolved.
- Let sugar/water mixture cool.
- Add lemonade concentrate and lime juice.
- Add creme' de menthe syrup. Start with 1/2 cup and add more if desired. Syrups vary in flavor and some can be a little stronger than others.
- Fill cups with ice and fill 2/3 full with drink base.
- Fill remaining 1/3 with club soda.
- Garnish and serve.
* Make sure it is NON ALCOHOLIC. If you can’t find it, I used this recipe:
- 1 cup Water
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Peppermint Extract
- 4 drops Green Food Coloring
Make a simple syrup by combining the water and sugar in a small saucepan and heating for a few minutes on the stove until the the sugar is dissolved. Remove from the heat and let cool completely.
