Original Recipe:
2 TBLS yeast
2 TBLS sugar
2 c warm milk
1 cup margarine, melted
4 eggs
1/2 c sugar
2 tsp salt
8 cups flour
Mix together. Put in greased bowl and cover. Spray plastic wrap with Pam so it won't stick. Refrigerate overnight. Will rise some.
Next day, roll out, cutting into triangles and rolling into crescents. Place on greased cookie sheet and let raise 3 hours. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 mins.
Shauna's Method - I only make a half batch and change up a few ingredients:
1 TBLS yeast
1 TBLS sugar
1/2 cup hot water
--Put in mixing bowl and let yeast bubble, about 10 mins.
1/2 cup warm milk
1/2 cup melted margarine
2 eggs
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
4 cups flour
Mix into yeast mixture. Put in greased bowl and cover. Spray plastic wrap with Pam so it won't stick. Refrigerate overnight. Will rise some.
Next day, divide dough in half, roll out each half and cut into 8 triangles. Roll into crescents. Place on greased cookie sheet and let raise 3 hours. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 mins.
NOTE: Can continue after mixing well. (Not refrigerate).
