Pecan Pie from Better Homes and Gardens Checkerboard Book


Pecan Pie
3 eggs
2/3 cup sugar
Dash of salt
1 cup dark corn syrup
1/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 cup pecan halves
Unbaked Pie shell

Beat eggs slightly and add sugar and salt.  Stir until dissolved.  Stir in dark corn syrup and melted butter and mix well.  Stir in pecan halves.  Pour in unbaked pie shell, cover edge of pie with foil.  Bake at 350 deg F for 25 mins.  Remove foil and bake another 25 mins or until knife inserted comes out clean (middle may still be wiggly).  Be careful not to burn pecans.

Cool on wire rack.
